Card index of evacuated persons

It contains cards on persons evacuated during the Great Patriotic War from the western regions of the USSR, in particular from the besieged Leningrad, inland.
It was created as an address and information card index.
Cards on evacuated persons were filled in at the place of evacuation. Afterwards they were sent to the city of Buguruslan.
Cards were created for adults. Information on children under 16 was put down in their parents’ cards.
The card index is arranged by surname in alphabetic order.
The card index contains about five million cards.
